“What’s good for us mustn’t be bad for others”

Here at OTTO we have been living by this principle for many decades. We truly believe that trading sustainably means focusing on people and the environment. It is becoming clear that this concept of fairness is catching on across many areas of society. We would be delighted if you joined us in this development!

What does that mean for you?

We want to trade with you in an honest, long-term partnership. Our success depends on you. What’s important to us is that you’re our partner, not a competitor. With your help, we can expand the range of products offered at otto.de considerably. But that’s not all…

We also believe that our responsibilities towards our suppliers include ensuring fair production conditions and sustainable use of resources. It’s not always an easy road to travel, but we believe there’s no other option. This is why we also hold our retailers to high standards.

To us, fairness means not only holding our own products to high standards, but all the products on otto.de. Complying with the respective minimum requirements and standards of sustainability are therefore an essential foundation of our business relationships.

You will find these minimum requirements in the Declaration on Sustainability, which every partner must agree to when entering into a contract with us. In addition to legal requirements and the Otto Group/ amfori BSCI code of conduct, the SD also includes essential requirements which comply with our expectations of ethical conduct.
